Downloading Lightroom presets is super easy! Below are step by step guides on how to download Lightroom presets for both Lightroom Mobile & Lightroom for your desktop after purchasing from my store.
If you don’t already have Lightroom Mobile, you can download it for free in the app store.
You will first download the zip file after purchasing either from your email or the confirmation page after purchasing.
Then find the downloaded folder & unzip the folder.
iPhone users – you’ll be looking for an app called “Files”
Android users – you’ll be looking for an app called “My Files” or something similar
To unzip the folder, go into your “files” app - find the folder & click on the Zip file.
Next, go into your Lightroom App – I recommend creating a new folder (+ sign about midway down your screen on the right).
Next, go into that new folder, then:
Import (+ sign with a picture behind it – bottom right)
From Files - find where you saved the zip folder
Select the Preset
Click on the photo that was just imported
Click on three dots on the top right of your screen
Create Preset
Type in the name of the preset
Click the check mark at the top right of your screen & WALLAHHHHHH!!! You’ve got yourself a new preset!
To use the preset:
Select a new photo
Swipe along your editing options until you see “Presets” & click on it
Make sure you’re in “User Presets” - it may say “Color, Creative, B&W, Curve, Grain, Sharpening or Vignetting”
Select which preset you want to use
Select the check mark at the bottom right
Make any adjustments necessary
If you’re downloading presets for Lightroom on your desktop, unzip the downloaded file by going to the folder you saved it in (typically downloads) & opening it.
Next, open Lightroom:
Develop
Presets tab on the left – click the plus
Select the “.xmp” file within the downloaded preset folder
Select “Import” & you’re all set! It’s ready to use!
To use the preset:
Develop
Select the photo you want to use the preset on
Presets tab on the left - select the preset you want to use
Make any necessary adjustments
Appreciate you all!
